Local municipalities urge mask wearing
Following on the heels of the Clinton County Commissioners, who on Monday urged residents to wear masks when out in the public, the Centre County commissioners, Lock Haven City Council and Bellefonte Borough Council are also stressing the importance of wearing masks to help combat the spread of coronavirus.
Although both Clinton and Centre counties are not seeing huge spikes like several other counties in the state, the numbers in Clinton and Centre counties continue to increase on a daily basis, according to the state Department of Health.
Last week, state Secretary of Health Rachel Levine mandated that all residents of Pennsylvania wear masks any time they leave their homes.
Gov. Tom Wolf said the virus is still here and wearing masks may be required until a vaccine is found.
