Keller says high court undermines voting system
Fred Keller
LOCK HAVEN — U.S. Rep. Fred Keller, R-12th District, said the Pennsylania Supreme Court’s decision to extend the deadline for receipt of mail-in ballots for the Nov.3 General Election undermines election integrity
Furthermore, he said it decision casts doubt on the security of our voting system
The state’s highest court this week “sided with Gov. Tom Wolf and the Pennsylvania Democratic Party in allowing ballots to be counted that are received up to three days after Election Day,” Keller said.
The decision also upheld the use of satellite election offices and drop boxes.
“This decision … has nothing to do with expanding access to voting. Instead, it is a partisan attempt to undermine our election process–casting doubt on the integrity and security of our voting system and emboldening the Wolf Administration’s continued disregard for the Constitution. This decision further degrades the foundations of our democracy and raises serious questions about our election processes.”
