Levee sealcoating to begin today

LOCK HAVEN — M&M Asphalt of Williamsport will begin the levee sealcoating process today and expects to finish Thursday or Friday. That’s the word from Public Works Director Anthony Stopper.

“The levee will be closed during the application process and all pedestrians are asked to stay off the affected areas,” Stopper said.

Barricades will be placed at the levee’s access ramps and signs will be posted, notifying residents of the closure until the coating is dry.

“It is anticipated that once the product is placed it would take about 30 minutes to fully dry for pedestrian traffic,” Stopper said. “We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience during this project,” Kasey Campbell, the city’s director of community life, said.
