A couple of big additions to the Renovo Area Police Department are both soon to be seen: a new vehicle and a new Chief. Council agreed to hire Richard Simpson as police chief at 20 hours a week. Richard Simpson also works as the Lock Haven City Police Detective and early March is the target date to get him on board in Renovo. The department also added this 2021 Ford Interceptor, which is K9 compatible. The new vehicle is already in service as all council members inspected the new four-wheel drive Interceptor last week prior to their monthly meeting.
