Mt. Nittany offers waitlist option for COVID-19 vaccinations
STATE COLLEGE — Mount Nittany Health is now offering a simple way for eligible community members to sign up online for a future COVID-19 vaccine.
To be added to the Mount Nittany Health COVID-19 vaccine waitlist, individuals should visit mountnittany.org/coronavirus, click on the link: “Join the waitlist,” and complete the form at their earliest convenience. When it’s their turn for the COVID-19 vaccine, Mount Nittany Health will contact them with their appointment date and time.
To date, Mount Nittany Health has administered over 10,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the community, and scheduled more than 8,000 additional vaccine appointments.
With the goal of providing a vaccine for everyone who wants one, as quickly as possible, Mount Nittany Health understands that using an online waitlist may be a burden for those without reliable internet access and those who are not comfortable using a computer. A phone number – available during regular business hours – for those individuals to use to place themselves on the waitlist will be made available later this week.
As part of its hybrid scheduling model, the health system also continues to reach out with appointment availability to high-risk, vulnerable patients under its care.
Appointments are scheduled only as supplies are available, to ensure that there is a vaccine for everyone who books an appointment.
With vaccine demand greater than the current available supply, the health system appreciates the community’s patience and understanding that this process will take time, and asks that everyone please continue to keep themselves and the community safe by avoiding large gatherings, social distancing, wearing a mask and frequent hand washing.
