Woodward to get new solicitor
DUNNSTOWN — There will be a new appointed solicitor for Woodward Township.
The new solicitor of the township was announced after a lengthy executive session during Tuesday night’s supervisor meeting. Thom Rosamilia will be the new acting solicitor for the township said chairman Wayne Love. He will be replacing their current solicitor, Robert O’Connor.
The reasoning behind the replacement of solicitor O’Connor was due to an announcement from last month’s meeting where he had declared his retirement from practicing law to the public.
Also decided during the executive session, supervisors announced the approval of a deed transfer of the sewer house back to the newly reinstated sewer authority. The deed was transferred to Woodward Township following the dismantling of the previous authority back in 2018.
In another agenda item, supervisors approved the vote to have their Halloween Trick or Treat day from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.
