Area organizations to host Easter egg hunts

LOCK HAVEN — Easter is just a few weeks away and many area organizations, churches and others are getting into the spirit with Easter egg hunts. The Express has received a multitude of events. They stretch from tomorrow right up until the big day itself.

TODAY

— Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek will host an Easter Bazaar, 3 to 8 p.m.

APRIL 9

— Curtin Village, Easter egg roll and Easter bonnet parade, 2 to 4 p.m. Bring your own boiled eggs for the roll and wear your decorated bonnet. Rain date will be April 10.

— Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall at 1 p.m.

— Flemington Hi-Neighbor Committee, Grove Park in Flemington at 12 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, April 10 at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for lucky prize eggs in the 0 to 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7 to 9; and 10-12 year olds. Each group will also have a chance for a prize of a bicycle. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance.

— Howard Christian Church, Walnut Street, will host an Easter Bazaar, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

APRIL 10

— Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, at 1 p.m. For more information call 570-962-2732.

— Howard Community Easter Egg Hunt, Community Park beside the post office, 1 p.m. There will be prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

APRIL 16

— Bellefonte Community Easter Egg Hunt, Talleyrand Park in downtown Bellefonte, 1 to 3 p.m. Games, prizes and the Easter Bunny will be there.

— Millheim Fire Company will host an egg hunt at Millheim Pool grounds, 12:30 p.m. Bring your own basket or bag for collecting eggs. The Easter Bunny will be there.

— New Hope Fellowship, 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, 11 a.m. Pizza and drinks will be served following the hunt. Event will be held inside the church in case of inclement weather.

— St. Mark of Nittany Valley Fellowship Charge will host a hunt at 10 a.m.
