Spring/summer children’s activities at the Ross Library

LOCK HAVEN — The Ross Library has big plans for its youth programs this spring and summer. Below is information about story times and activities at the library from April to August. Story times are held in the Gould Room on the second floor of the library.



Mondays: Signs of Spring at 10:30 a.m.

Monday nights: STEM on April 11 at 6 p.m. where kids will learn “How do fish breathe?”

Monday nights in May: Story and Craft time 6:30 p.m. on May 2, 9, 16 and 23.

Tuesdays: Little Gardeners at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.: All about Snails on April 13; All about Tigers on May 4; If you give a mouse… on May 18.

Thursdays: ABC Story Time at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday May 14 at 11 a.m., Exploring the Ocean; 5/21 is Inky’s Amazing Escape.


Monday: Art on the Patio from 2 to 3 p.m. June 14, 20 and 27 will be Art with Water; July 11, 18 and 25 is Art with sand; and Aug. 8 and 22 is Art with shells.


Explore the Coral Reef for grades 1, 2, 3 from 10 a.m. to noon on June 21, 28, July 5, 12, 19 and 26. Registration needed by calling 570-748-3484.

Wednesday (June):

Scavenger Hunt with Ms. Holly at 11 a.m. on June 1, 8 and 29.


Preschool story time at 10:30 a.m. on June 9, 16, 23 and 30 and July 7, 14 and 21. The program will be Finding Nemo: Exploring ocean animals.


Friday Fun with Mermaids, Pirates and Treasures at 10:30 a.m. on June 24, July 1 and 29.

Saturday Program on Patio:

June 23: Shark theme at 11 a.m.

July 9: Pirate theme at 11 a.m.

July 30: Fossil Dig Program at 1 p.m.
