WOOLRICH — Living for almost a century can be unimaginable for most. And living past the ripe age of 100? Even more unheard of.

For Anna Hull, a resident of Heartland Personal Care Home, she’s one of few who can say they’ve reached quite the milestone.

Hull celebrated her 102nd birthday surrounded by close loved ones and the personal care home’s staff.

Hull was born in Bellefonte, and for almost all of her life, lived in the Mill Hall area, according to her eldest grandson, Kieran Hull.

During her many years living in Mill Hall, Anna worked as a chef and dining manager at a former dining restaurant known as the Dutch Inn.

“A lot of people knew her as a great cook. She is a great baker and a great mom, grandmother and I think she is a great-great-great-grandmother,” Kieran said.

Anna has sadly outlived all of her kids and one of her grandchildren, according to Kieran. However, that has not stopped Anna from trucking forward in life and helping those she loves along the way.

“She has been an anchor for our family. She has helped us all at some point in our lives,” Kieran said.

Now at 102, Anna has lived a lengthy life, though she claimed to be 39 for most of her years on Earth.

“She used to say for the longest time that she was 39 and she never got any older than 39. Then on her actual 93rd birthday, she told us all she was 93,” Kieran laughed. “She is just a sweet lady and we can’t thank her enough.”
