FLEMINGTON — The 2025 Leadership Clinton County class recently spent a day learning about the importance and impact of Health and Human Services in our community.

The day began with an in depth presentation by UPMC President, Ron Reynolds, on Rural Healthcare and the changing healthcare landscape.

Following that, a panel discussion was held with West Branch Drug and Alcohol (represented by Emily Leidhecker, Daniell Hardy, Katie Hugo and Lydia Plankenhorn) and Judge Michael Salisbury representing the Clinton County Specialty Court System.

Both West Branch and Judge Salisbury addressed substance abuse and the measures taken by our community to address those issues.

Jeff Rich, from the Clinton County Housing Authority, gave a thorough and informative presentation to the class about Housing and Homelessness in Clinton County and ways to address it.

Lastly, the afternoon was led by Clinton County Emergency Services Director, Jon Plessinger, who informed the class about the county’s emergency services and led the class on a tour of the 911 facility and probation training room.
