WOOLRICH — The Woolrich Community Park was alive with excitement on Saturday as the Woolrich Community Center hosted its 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

With sunny skies and perfect spring weather, the event drew hundreds of children and families from across the region, surpassing attendance numbers from previous years.

Approximately 14,000 brightly colored eggs were scattered across the expansive park grounds, and it took eager egg hunters just over eight minutes to scoop them all up.

Children ages 1-12 enjoyed their own designated areas for the hunt, ensuring a safe and fun experience for everyone. Each age group had the chance to win four prize baskets and one of two brand-new bicycles.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Easter Bunny made a grand entrance — arriving on a motorcycle to the delight of the crowd.

The hunt officially kicked off at 10 a.m. with a spirited 10-second countdown. After the egg hunt, families enjoyed photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, a Hoppity Hare Sack Race and the chance to win a free party rental at the Community Center.

At 10:30 a.m., the event held a Special Abilities Easter Egg Hunt, offering a welcoming and inclusive experience for about 20 participants. Prizes included three gift baskets and a scooter. In a touching moment of community spirit, one child even chose to share a prize ticket with another participant.

This cherished community tradition is organized by the Woolrich Community Center, with the support of generous sponsors from Clinton and Lycoming counties.

This year’s event was made possible in large part by a grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation. Additional supporters included the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motor Club, The Bike Gallery and Busy Beavers.

Thanks to the recent grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation, the center plans to expand its offerings throughout the year.
