WILLIAMSPORT — The newborns at The Birthplace in Williamsport, a UPMC Magee-Womens facility, are serving up smiles this Mother’s Day as the health system celebrates with an endearing tradition for new moms.
Dubbed “UPMC Magee-Womens Sweetest Treats,” the new arrivals are dressed in cheerful pale-yellow onesies and topped with handmade crocheted ice cream cone hats crafted with love by UPMC employees and volunteers.
“Our team loves creating special moments for our families, and we hope this is one they will remember for years to come,” said Katelyn Fowler, unit director, The Birthplace at UPMC Williamsport.
The initiative is part of a systemwide Mother’s Day celebration across UPMC Magee-Womens locations, honoring the joy and love that come with welcoming a new life into the world.
