Riverfest begins next week

LOCKPORT — The Woodward Township Board of Supervisors hope for good weather as they make the final preparations for Riverfest 2025.

Riverfest will kick off at the boat launch in Lockport at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 with great food and amazing vendors. Classic Rock Revival will be playing on stage beginning at 6 p.m.

The next day will have vendors and lots of food choices, and attendees can purchase duck derby tickets.

You can also stop at The Second Cup or Puff N Snuff in Dunnstown to purchase your Duck Derby Tickets or visit the township building at 86 Riverside Terrace, Lock Haven, for tickets.

Kids will be treated to activities and games provided by the Lock Haven YMCA beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.

From 2 to 5 p.m., Speed Bump Willy will be performing with the duck derby taking place at 5 p.m.

To finish out the event, Mixtape will be performing beginning at 7 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. with the fireworks.

Throughout the entire event, Mark “The Shark” Schlesinger will “campout for kids” in a camper provided by Bill’s Happy Camper from Thursday to Saturday.

Mark the Shark will be broadcasting live throughout the event and members of the community will be able to pledge money and make donations. In addition to monetary donations, food donations will also be accepted for the Lock Haven YMCA Backpack Program. Non-perishable items like ramen noodles, spaghettiOs, etc. will be accepted.

This event is a fundraiser to benefit children with medical needs and expenses in the area.

The cardboard boat races and duck derby are dependent on river levels and weather. Keep an eye out on the Woodward Township Recreation page for any updates.

There will be good food, crafts and fun for the whole family at Riverfest 2025.
