Commissioners handle plethora of personnel items

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Board of Commissioners approved a large number of personnel items during its first voting session of July.

During the Salary Board meeting, the commissioners approved a salary increase for Jeffrey Croak, assistant veterans affairs director/veterans services officer to $43,500.

The increase is due to expanded job responsibilities and duties associated with the director succession transition. The increase took effect on June 30.

Following this approval, the commissioners approved over a dozen personnel items in various departments. This included:

— Accepted a resignation from Nathan Rossey, sheriff’s deputy, effective June 23.

— Accepted a resignation from William Wasliko, part-time security guard in the sheriff office, effective June 30.

— Accepted a resignation from William Strunk, part-time security guard in the sheriff office, effective June 30.

— Accepted the resignation of Michael Seybold, part-time security guard in the sheriff office, effective June 30.

— Accepted the resignation of Charlie Mitchell, part-time security guard in the sheriff office, effective June 30.

— Accepted the resignation of Olivia Eckert, resource care coordinator in children and youth services, effective June 27.

— Hired Jacob Freeze as full-time deputy sheriff, effective July 7, at a salary of $36,841.

— Hired Justin Davy as full-time deputy sheriff, effective July 7, at a salary of $36,841.

— Hired Shaelinn Muth as family centered services care for children in youth services, effective June 30, at a salary of $40,518.

— Hired Brook Kepler as family services case manager for children and youth services, effective June 30, at a salary of $40,518.

— Hired Brittney Camerer as fiscal operations officers for children and youth services, effective July 7, at a salary of $52,275.

— Hired Kalen Guyer as agricultural resource conservationist at the conservation district, effective July 14, at a salary of $42,247.

— Hired Jordan Brown as resource conservationist at the conservation district, effective July 14, at a salary of $42,247.

— Approved a lateral transfer of Carli McConnell from resource conservationist to watershed specialist/education coordinator at the conservation district, effective July 14, with no change in salary.

— Transferred Brian Walizer from 911 full-time dispatcher to part-time dispatcher at the department of emergency services, effective July 5, at an hourly rate of $16.75, not to exceed 1,000 hours annually.

— Promoted Anna Peddie from Clerk I to Clerk II at magisterial district court 25-03-02, effective July 7, at a salary of $30,517.
