With warm weather and mostly sunny skies, hundreds turned out to the Centre Grange Park and Fairgrounds for the annual People’s Choice Festival of Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts. The event featured nearly 200 artists, two dozen food vendors and 40 acts on two stages for those near and far to enjoy. The event was created over two decades ago in 1993 by George Marion, a local artist, who wanted to start a brand new arts festival. Years later, the event is co-directed by Cindy Rockey and John Madison with Chris Kepler serving as entertainment director; Rick Snyder as food concession director; Chase Million as assistant director; Diana Stapleford as marketing and sponsorship director; Don Rockey as facilities director; and Amy Madison as publicity director. The event offered festival goers the opportunity to check out a wide range of arts and craft vendors, enjoy good food and entertainment and even a special Christmas in July event and visit with Santa for the kids.
