Kramer resigns from KC board

MILL HALL — Just a month after being sworn in, Keystone Central School District Director Mary Kramer has submitted her resignation.

Kramer’s resignation was announced at the board’s work session on Thursday night and was due to her position as Renovo Borough’s secretary.

The announcement was made by Board President Elisabeth Lynch at the start of the work session, noting it went into effect on Jan. 7.

This marks the third resignation of a Keystone board member since Polly Donahay — representing Region III — resigned in October. This was followed by Jeff Johnston who resigned in December.

Donahay’s position was filled by Manny Rodriguez in November, while candidates for Johnston’s seat in Region IV are still being considered.

Kramer represented Region IX, which is made up of western Clinton County including Renovo, South Renovo boroughs, Leidy, Chapman, Steward, East Keating, Noyes, Grugan and Gallagher townships.

She was elected to serve in the position during the November 2025 election and sworn in during the reorganization meeting in December.

Superintendent Dr. Francis Redmon told The Express further information about how interested Region IX candidates may apply for the position, and the deadline, will be published as a public notice in the newspaper in the coming days.

The board has 30 days after accepting the resignation to appoint someone to the position.

Starting at $3.69/week.
