Taylors are Garden of the Month winners for June

Michael and Kathy Taylor

LOCK HAVEN — The winners of the June Garden of the Month award are Michael and Kathy Taylor, 4024 Coudersport Pike. June’s theme was “Iris,” the flower that represents 25th anniversaries.

The Taylors have a variety of colorful iris: antique yellow, purple Japanese iris in a massive bed, and a yellow/purple that survived the fire that swept their property in 2006.

Michael mulches (16 yards so far) Kathy’s additional colorful variety of petunias, Shasta daisies, marigolds, daylilies, peonies, zinnias, salvia and roses.

Dogwood Circle is celebrating its 25th year of presenting the Garden of the Month award. Gardens are judged on curb appeal, color, variety, natural elements, maintenance and must be visible from the street or public alley.
