Environmental Programs at Little Pine and Hyner Run State Parks
WATERVILLE — For the weekend of July 26 – 28, there will be programs at both Little Pine and Hyner Run State Parks.
The programs on Friday and Sunday will be at Little Pine State Park, and Saturday’s programs will be at Hyner Run State Park.
Friday evening at 8 p.m. will be the weekly coffee break. This is an informal question and answer period and general chat session. Coffee, tea, and iced tea will be provided, but please bring your own cup. This will be followed at 9 p.m. by the movie “Pennsylvania Songbirds”. Both programs will be at the amphitheater.
Saturday’s programs include a birding hike at 5 p.m, a guided hike on the history of the former CCC Camp S-75 at 7:30 p.m., and a movie about beavers at 9 p.m.. All programs will be at the building between the swimming pool and the swimming pool parking lot. Please bring some type of seating for the movie.
Sunday at 1 p.m. there will be a DiscoverE program for children ages 6 – 12. This will be at the upstream end of the beach, and will be about beavers.
The nature center, located in the lower floor of the office building, will be open Friday from 3-6 p.m. and Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
