Civilian Conservation Corps of Little Pine

On Friday, July 23, at 6 p.m., there will be a “Civilian Conservation Corps of Little Pine” program at Little Pine State Park. This program will focus on the history of the Great Depression, life during the Civilian Conservation Corps times, and some of the work that happened in the area. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new CDC Guidelines. Meet at the amphitheater.

On Saturday, July 24, at 6 p.m. there will be a “Civilian Conservation Corps of Hyner Run” program at Hyner Run State Park. Dog Days of Summer Morning Walk

On Sunday, July 25, there will be a “Dog Days of Summer Morning Walk” at Little Pine State Park, at 9 a.m. Join the naturalist for a morning walk on the Buttonball Trail. Some of the flora and fauna will be discussed. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash not exceeding six feet. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new CDC Guidelines. Meet by the amphitheater.

Terrific Trees at Little Pine

On Friday, July 23, at 2 and 3:30 p.m., there will be a “Terrific Trees” program at Little Pine State Park. Join the park naturalist to take a look and tell the difference between some of the different tree species in the Lower Picnic Area of Little Pine State Park. There will be a craft at the end. This program will be suited towards families with children, but anyone is welcome to attend. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Programs may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new CDC Guidelines. Meet at Pavilion #4 (in the Lower Picnic Area of Little Pine State Park).
