Emergency services — Aug. 18
The region’s emergency services departments and communications centers reported the following incidents:
r At 9:49 a.m., the Lock Haven Fire Department was sent to deal with a downed tree at 2510 Renovo Road. The call was cleared at 10:32 a.m.
r At 2:48 p.m., Castanea Township Fire Company was called to a kitchen fire. The volunteers returned to quarters at 3:29 p.m.
r At 8:32 p.m., a vehicle fire occurred on Westbound Interstate 80. The Nittany Valley Fire Company’s volunteers were on the scene for about 20 minutes.
r At 8:35 p.m., the Beech Creek/Blanchard Fire Company was dispatched to deal with a downed tree at 1100 Eagle Valley Road. The call was cleared within 15 minutes.
r At 9:01 p.m. a downed tree required a response from Lamar Township Fire Company. The call was cleared at 9:33 p.m.
r Another tree came down at 730 Fishing Creek Road, requiring the services of Nittany Valley Fire Company. The firefighters returned to quarters at 9:33 p.m.
r At 10:45 p.m., an odor detection alarm sounded at 60 Sharon’s Lane. The Lamar Township Fire Company responded and cleared the call at 11:38 p.m.
