Crash into mailbox and wall

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview report that a Ford F150 pickup truck hauling a cattle trailer containing one bull slid off the road at 255 Forest Ave. in Walker Township Thursday, Dec. 15, around 2:30 p.m.

The driver of the truck, who police have not identified, told police that due to the snow-covered roadways, he steered too far toward the right side of the road to avoid oncoming traffic and slid into a yard, striking a mailbox and a concrete retaining wall. No injuries were reported, and the truck was driven from the scene under its own power, police said.

All relevant parties were notified. Walker Township Fire Co. assisted at the scene.
