Aggravated assault

HUBLERSBURG — Edward Henry Gummo Jr., 48, no address listed, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and strangulation on Monday, state police at Rockview said.

A female victim reported that she was struck, thrown and strangled by Gummo on April 10, saying he held her down and choked her on three separate occasions, police said.

She added that her breathing was restricted to the point where she almost lost consciousness, police said.

The investigation continues, police said.

Terroristic threats

JERSEY SHORE — Trina Marie Horn, 38, of Jersey Shore, has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after an incident that occurred on Sunday, state police at Montoursville said.

Horn is accused of threatening to stab her husband with a knife during a disturbance at their home in Mifflin Township, police said.

She was released on $7,500 bail, police said.

Drug possession

LOCK HAVEN — Charles Pease, 48, of South Highland Street, was found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on April 12 at 10:36 p.m., city police said.

Pease was found with these items after police responded to a report of domestic violence on Highland Street, police said.

Harassment alleged

MILESBURG — Two men have been charged with harassment/physical contact after a fight that occurred Monday morning, state police at Rockview said.

David John-Pau Estright, 27, of Milesburg, is accused of striking Shawn Eugene Hamilton, 36, of Bellefonte, in the face several times, police said.

Hamilton is accused of striking Estright and engaging in fighting behavior, police said.

The incident occurred at 7:05 a.m. on Idding Street, Boggs Township, Centre County, police said.

Vehicle runs red light

PLEASANT GAP — No one was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred on April 8 at 10:02 a.m., state police at Rockview said.

The driver of a 1997 Lexus ES300 was traveling on Benner Pike where it intersected with Rolling Ridge Drive when they ran a red light, striking a 2004 Dodge Intrepid, police said.

No names were listed in the report but all involved were wearing their seatbelts, police said.

The driver of the Lexus was cited for a traffic light violation, police said.

Act 64 violation

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview arrested a man on April 8 on Interstate 99 near mile marker 79.

Warren Jones, 29, no address listed, is accused of violation Act 64 and possessing marijuana, police said.

Bad checks

BELLEFONTE — Michael Villagrana, 34, no address listed, was arrested for bad checks at Benner Pike, Benner Township, state police at Rockview said.

The incident occurred on April 5, police said.

No injuries

LOCK HAVEN — Minor damage was caused to two vehicles after an accident that occurred on April 13 at 7:11 p.m. at the intersection of Bellefonte Avenue and Commerce Street, city police said.

Jace Kreamer, of Middleburg, was traveling west on Bellefonte Avenue when he attempted to turn left onto Commerce Street, police said.

Kreamer had proceeded past the stop line and into the intersection when the stop light turned red, police said.

In Kreamer’s attempt to back up behind the stop line his Ford Focus backed into a Ford Escape driven by Scott Arnold, of Canastota, N.Y., police said.

Both vehicle received minor damage but were able to be driven from the scene, police said.

Both Kreamer and Arnold were given notice of accident and not charges were filed, police said.

Retail theft

SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview are investigating a retail theft that took place on April 4.

The incident occurred by an unknown suspect at Weaver’s Store on Market Drive, Penn Township, Centre County, police said.

Vehicle rear-ended

BELLEFONTE — A 2008 Freightliner Tractor Trailer was rear-ended by a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee on April 8 at 7:37 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

The accident occurred as the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was traveling south on Interstate 99 near mile marker 77, police said.

The driver, whose name was not listed, was following to closely to the tractor trailer and struck the vehicle, police said.

The Jeep had no damage to the front of it’s vehicle, police said.

The driver was cited for following too closely and driving while DUI suspended, police said.
