Man, 22, accused of
sexually assaulting minor
LOCK HAVEN –City police said a Clinton County man is in custody after he allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl.
Justin Miller, 22, of 125 Creekside Lane, Beech Creek, was taken into custody and committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, according to a release issued Monday afternoon.
Miller is charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and involuntary sexual intercourse, police said.
Bail was set at $200,000.
Man, 18, charged
with indecent assault
LOCK HAVEN — Micah Probst, 18, of Lock Haven, was taken into custody and placed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility for allegedly having indecent contact with an 18-year-old girl on Thursday, Sept. 6, according to Lock Haven City Police.
He was charged with two counts of indecent assault and two counts of harassment, police reported. Police did not list the bail amount on their report.
Two incidents of
harassment alleged
HOWARD — Jamie Sheetz, 45, of Lamar, got into an argument on Nittany Valley Drive with an unnamed 23-year-old man from Howard, then slapped him in the face at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, according to state police at Lamar.
On Wednesday, Sept. 5, Brittany Simmons, 20, of Loganton, was found to have punched a 17-year-old girl, also of Loganton, in the nose, state police said. The incident took place on Bull Run Road sometime between 12:30 and 2:11 a.m. It was also determined that Simmons was under the influence of alcohol and under age, police added.
Dog dies on highway
McELHATTAN — A dog abruptly entered Route 220 Southbound at 2:12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, causing driver Seth Miller, 29, of Montoursville, to hit it with his SUV, state police at Lamar reported. Miller tried to stop but was unsuccessful, police said.
The dog did not survive, and Miller’s Terrain had disabling damage, police said. No human injuries were reported.
Shoplifting alleged
MILL HALL — Bradley Sellinger, 25, and Elizabeth, 30, both of Lock Haven, were arrested for stealing several items from the Walmart Supercenter totaling $31.43, Monday, Sept. 3 at 3:33 p.m., according to state police at Lamar.
Separately, Yezebel Sanchez, 20, of Philadelphia, attempted to leave the Walmart Supercenter without paying for various personal hygiene items totaling $37.98 on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 5:17 p.m., state police also reported.
Hit-and-run on I-80
LAMAR — A Subaru headed in the wrong direction — west on I-80 East — caused a crash at 2:48 p.m. Saturday, state police at Lamar said.
Jeffrey Stere, 46, of Millville, was driving a Subaru Outback in the correct direction when he saw the other Subaru coming, police said. He swerved to the right lane, but both cars hit and had damage on their drivers’ sides, police said.
Stere and his passenger, 44-year-old Jessica Vohey, also of Millville, were not injured, police said, and the other car continued driving in the wrong direction on I-80, fleeing the scene.
Driver hits downed
tree on Ridge Road
RENOVO — Christopher Bailey, 23, of Renovo, was driving a Jeep Liberty south on Ridge Road at 5:30 a.m. Friday when he hit a tree lying across the roadway, state police at Lamar said. Bailey was not injured, police said, but the vehicle had disabling damage.
Inspection violation
RENOVO — Michael Blackwell, 22, of Renovo was cited for issuing an inspection certificate for a 2014 Subaru Impreza when it should have failed the inspection, state police at Lamar reported. The vehicle’s registration had expired on Jan. 31, police said.
Blackwell was working at Wert’s Garage, also in Renovo, police said.
Disorderly conduct
MILL HALL — Bradley Bertin, 43, of Jersey Shore, was charged with disorderly conduct following a disturbance at 201 Dewey St. at 2 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, state police at Lamar said.
Drug possession
Ryan Keen, 26, of Avis, was stopped for speeding and state police at Lamar detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police reported. Keen was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was driving under the influence of a controlled substance, police continued.
A male from Potter Towship, Centre County, was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia in Centre Hall, Tuesday, Aug. 28, according to Rockview State Police. PSP did not identify the defendant.
