Assault at T&A Travel Center

MILESBURG — A Hubbard, Ohio man was assaulted on Sept. 7 in the parking lot of T&A Travel Center, 875 N. Eagle Valley Rd., state police at Rockview said.

The suspect, who was operating a black Freightliner with a low-boy trailer approached the victim in the parking lot, exiting his vehicle and punching him in the face, police said.

After the assault, the suspect returned to his vehicle and fled the scene, police said.

Hearing-impaired

child sign stolen

SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview received a report of a theft that occurred between Aug. 25 and 30 on Brush Mountain Road, Gregg Township, Centre County.

A hearing-impaired child sign was stolen along the roadway and suspects are believed to have been driving a dark colored pick-up truck, police said.

One vehicle accident

BELLEFONTE — The driver of a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer was not injured after a crash that occurred on Sept. 2 at 11:30 p.m. on Purdue Mountain Road, Benner Township, Centre County, state police at Rockview said.

Brent R. Miller, 41, of Milesburg, was traveling south on the roadway when he lost control of his vehicle negotiating a left curve, police said.

Miller’s vehicle struck an embankment before coming to rest at the bottom five feet below it, police said.

Miller contacted police the following afternoon at about 1:14 p.m. and was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed, police said.

Possession of marijuana

BELLEFONTE — Lucas Digiorgi, 20, no address listed, was arrested on Aug. 31 at 10:22 p.m. for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, state police at Rockview said.

The arrest was made on Interstate 99 near mile marker 80, Spring Township, Centre County, police said.
