Man charged with
BELLEFONTE — A State College man was charged with assaulting state police officers as he was being taken into custody at 4:14 a.m. on Dec. 12.
The incident took place at 502 E. Howard St. in Bellefonte Borough, state police at Rockview report.
Charges are pending against Kenneth Smith, 57, of State College.
No injuries in two-vehicle crash
PORT MATILDA – A two-vehicle crash took place at 5:31 p.m. on Nov. 30 along Port Matilda Highway. According to state police at Rockview, Antonino Colletti, 27, was traveling along Route 322 in Rush Township, Centre County, when he slowed down to allow a truck to turn into a business.
His vehicle, a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer, was struck from behind by a vehicle being driven by Kaila Belinda, 24, of Philipsburg. Police say that both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and no injuries were reported.
Bellefonte woman arrested
on drug charges
BELLEFONTE — A 31-year-old Bellefonte woman was arrested at 11:7 a.m. on Dec. 11 following a traffic stop along the Benner Pike in Centre County.
According to state police at Rockview, a traffic stop was conducted due to multiple violations of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (Title 75).
A probable cause search was conducted and it was revealed that the person in the passenger seat was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug parahernalia. The operator of the vehicle was taken into custody for multiple warrants.
The investigation continues, police said.
No injuries in collision
SALONA — Nobody was hurt in a two-vehicle accident at 1:56 p.m. on Dec. 8 on End Mountain Road in Lamar Township, according to state police at Lamar.
Drivers were Sierra R. Leitch, 30, of Mill Hall, and juvenile from Montoursville, police said.
Details of the accident were not listed on the police report.
SOUTH RENOVO — Chad Delp, 36, of Simmmamahoning was charged with drug possession by state police at Lamar at 4:12 p.m. on Dec. 8 at 1001 Pine St., South Renovo.
Police said Delp was found in possession of marijuana and the investigation is ongoing.
