Public drunkenness

LOCK HAVEN — Nichoilas Gerhardt, 27, of Seymour, Wisc., was cited with public drunkenness after he allegedly attempted to walk up the front stairs to a residence he was not privileged to enter on June 24, according to city police. Gearhardt then fell down the front stairs and went to sleep in the yard, police said.

LH man hits bicyclist

CAMMAL — A crash occurred on June 6 as George Maruhnich, 53, of Lock Haven, was traveling south on Route 414 in McHenry Township, Lycoming County, and struck a bicyclist, according to state police at Montoursville.

The bicyclist, Carol Walter, 61, of Shamokin, was also traveling south and as Maruhnich attempted a pass, Walter was struck, which caused her to fall off her bicycle, police said. Walter was suspected of minor injury, but refused transport, police said.

Bee causes driver to hit parked cars

LOCK HAVEN — A crash occurred on June 23 as Zachary Dibler, of Fleetwood, was driving south on Susquehanna Avenue in Lock Haven and got distracted by a bee in his truck, according to city police.

Dibler swerved, striking a 2000 Toyota Celica, which rolled ahead and struck a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado parked in front of it, police said. Both Dibler’s truck and the Toyota were towed from the scene, while the third vehicle sustained minor damage, police said. There were no injuries, but Dibler was cited for careless driving, police said.

Harassment, physical contact

LINDEN — David Riggle, 51, of Jersey Shore, has been charged with harassment after allegedly punching Keith Michaels, 48, of Linden in the face with a closed fist on June 11 along State Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, according to police at Montoursville.
