LH police searching for burglary suspect

From Staff Reports

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police are searching for a possible suspect in multiple burglaries in the city.

Approximately a dozen burglaries have occurred, with a majority from businesses between William T. Piper Memorial Airport and Jay Street, within the past six months, Police Chief Kristin Smith said.

Recently, the police were able to capture an image of the possible burglar.

“It’s been since the beginning of the year, we’ve had about a dozen (burglaries). They’re businesses, not home, and this is the first time that we’ve caught them on camera,” Smith said.

Although the majority of the break-ins have occurred on the east side of the city, Smith said there have been a few incidents in the hill section of the city.

Currently, the department believes the burglaries were committed by one suspect.

“I think most of them are connected,” Smith said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact the city police department at 570-398-5911.
