Liquor law violation
RENOVO — A citation was issued to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 516, of 336 Erie Avenue, Renovo, on July 25 for a liquor law violation by the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, state police at Montoursville said.
The violations, that occurred from Feb. 2 through June 19, were related to gambling and lotteries, as the establishment failed to submit annual reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, state police said.
In consequence, the establishment could face possible fines, license suspension or revocation, or mandated training for the licensee,depending on the severity of the offense, according to state police.
Theft by deception
HOWARD — On July 25 at 12:01 a.m., state police at Rockview investigated an incident of identity theft when an unknown actor attempted to change a victim’s address through Social Security.
The victim was a 71-year-old female of Nolan Lane, Walker Township, and once she became aware of this action contacted Social Security to have the changes halted, state police said.
SALLADASBURG — An incident of harassment by physical contact occurred on Aug. 6 at 1:45 a.m. when a 23-year-old female, of Salladasburg, and a 30-year-old male, of Montoursville, engaged in unwanted physical contact, state police at Montoursville said.
Both persons were cited for the incident of harassment, which occurred on Main Street, state police said.
A 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was also involved in the incident, according to state police.
BELLEFONTE — On July 26 at 7:24 p.m., state police at Rockview investigated a possible incident of identity theft at Aster Avenue in Benner Township.
The victim was Eilene Blumenthal, 72, who explained to police that she had received a letter in the mail from the Social Security Administration congratulating her for creating an online account, which she did not do herself, state police said.
Blumenthal said that upon contacting Social Security, she was told someone stole her identity, set up an online account, and changed her address in efforts to collect her Social Security, according to state police.
Theft from motor vehicle
BELLEFONTE — An incident of theft from a 2017 Ram Truck at Forest Avenue in Walker Township occurred sometime between July 13 at 8 p.m. and July 16 at 8 p.m., state police at Rockview said.
The items stolen from victim Patrick Terpak, 55, included 15 golf clubs of assorted brands, including Callaway, Mizuno, Taylor Made, Ping and Titalist, which were taken from the bed of his pickup truck that was parked in the driveway of his residence, state police said.
The total value of the stolen property amounted to about $500, according to state police.
Stalking and harassment
AARONSBURG — On Aug. 9 at 8:36 p.m., an incident of stalking and harassment occurred at Joepa Lane in Haines Township, state police at Rockview said.
Arrestee, Kristina Smith, 38, of Spring Mills, followed a 40-year-old female victim, of Aaronsburg, in her vehicle to a residence and then got out of the vehicle and began to yell at the victim further causing a disturbance, state police said.
