Police report hit and run

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City police investigated a hit and run that took place a little after noon on Monday along Bellefonte Avenue in Lock Haven.

According to police, Avery Winkleman and Brandon Wertman were following a blue Hyundai Sonata a little after noon when they saw the Sonata strike a pair of parked vehicles. Police investigated and found a Ford Taurus missing its mirror and a Ford Escape with damage.

Police stopped stopped James McLean, 29, along East Main Street and informed him that he had struck a pair of parked cars. According to police, McLean said that he was unaware that he had hit the cars. The Taurus was owned by James Steele of Lock Haven while the Escape was owned by Christine Hillyer of Lock Haven.

There was no estimate on damage. McLean was cited for the hit and run.
