Assault at SCI Rockview

BELLEFONTE — A 24-year-old inmate at SCI Rockview was assaulted by another inmate on Sept. 22, state police at Rockview said.

The victim, of Bellefonte, sustained lacerations to his head and eye after being cut by a weapon made from glass and a plastic utensil, police said.

The investigation continues.

Theft of motor vehicle


BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview investigated a theft of a motor vehicle that took place sometime between Oct. 13 or 14.

A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from the residence of a 57-year-old Bellefonte man. The vehicle was located while it was being driven by a suspect in Lycoming County. The suspect was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police through magisterial district justice 29-3-01.

Sweatshirt stolen

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview investigated a case of theft that took place along Red Oak Drive in Walker Township, Centre County. According to police, someone stole a bag of clothing from the porch of a 37-year-old Bellefonte woman. The clothing was valued at $12.
