LOCK HAVEN — A vehicle stolen from Lock Haven has been recovered, the Woodward Township Police Department reports.
According to police, a burgundy 2005 Volkswagen Jetta four-door sedan was stolen on Aug. 26 from Woodward Automotive, 103 Woodward Ave. The suspect in the case, Mike Wayne McClure had a warrant issued for his arrest for theft of the car.
On Nov. 20, McClure, 47, was taken into custody in Hugo, Okla., by the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department and was charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest and several other charges. According to the report, McClure was involved in a high-speed chase with sheriff’s deputies while he was driving the stolen Jetta. After stopping, McClure fought with deputies while being taken into custody.
The Jetta was recovered during the incident.
