JS woman assaulted
WILLIAMSPORT — Terri Freeman, 56, of Jersey Shore, was allegedly assaulted by a patient at AristaCare in Loyalsock Township at 7:38 p.m. Nov. 12, according to state police at Montoursville.
Police said Freeman sustained a minor injury due to a physical altercation with a patient, who was determined to not be medically incompetent. No charges were filed, police said.
LINDEN — James R. Simbeck, 30, of Harvest Moon Park, has been charged by state police at Montoursville with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after having a smoking device at his residence during an investigation on Oct. 22. He was sent a summons and waived his preliminary hearing, police said.
JERSEY SHORE — Nathaniel B. Matter, 29, of Watsontown, was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with DUI and careless driving after he was stopped on Allegheny Street Oct. 19-20. Police said his blood alcohol level was .220.
He received a court summons and waived a preliminary hearing, police said.
JERSEY SHORE — Dane G. Ross, 48, of Salladasburg, has been charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with DUI, careless driving, and open container after he was stopped on Pine Creek Avenue on Oct. 18-19.
Police said he was swerving in his lane of travel and multiple open alcoholic beverage containers were found in his vehicle.
Ross was sent a summons and waived a preliminary hearing, police said.
Endangering a child
LINDEN — Joseph T. Pontius, 33, of Route 220 Linden, has been charged by state police at Montoursville with endangering the welfare of a child, controlled substance, drug device and cosmetic act.
Police said Pontius had drugs and drug paraphernalia in the same room as a 4-year-old boy with Taylor M. Kanski, 25, at their residence on Oct. 18.
Both were incarcerated on $20,000 bail and were scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Jerry Lepley on Dec. 4.
Child endangerment, DUI
JERSEY SHORE — Jennifer L. Allis, 43, of 370 Allegheny St., has been charged with DUI, endangering the welfare of a child and careless driving after allegedly having a blood alcohol level of .228 and leaving her child in her car along Route 44 on Sept. 14, according to state police at Montoursville.
Police said she was sent a summons and waived her preliminary hearing.
JERSEY SHORE — Chad Hooven, 42, of Nippenose Road, was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after he allegedly punched and kicked Gary Martin at 100 Caboose Lane on Sept 15, state police at Montoursville report.
Hooven was jailed on $2,500 bail and appeared before District Judge Jerry Lepley for his preliminary hearing on Dec. 11.
