Death investigation

RENOVO — State police at Lamar and PSP Lamar Forensic Service Unit responded to the intersection of Route 144 and Route 120 to investigate an unattended death of an individual on Dec. 28.

Report of harassment

BELLEFONTE — A 31-year-old Bellefonte man is was arrested for allegedly striking a 3-year-old Clarence boy on his face while in his custody on Dec. 17, state police at Rockview said.

It was reported by the victim’s father that the child had a red mark on his face after the accused had custody of the child for the day, police said.

The accused, name not listed, was charged with harassment, police said.

Accidental shooting

BELLEFONTE — A 21-year-old Pleasant Gap man was injured due to an accidental shooting along South Main Street, Spring Township on Christmas day, state police at Rockview said.

The man, name not listed, was treated for a gunshot wound to his left thigh on scene before being transported to UPMC Altoona, police said.

It was determined through an investigation that there was no evidence of foul play, police said.

DUI alleged

CENTRE HALL — A traffic stop near the intersection of North Pennsylvania Avenue and Irvin Alley lead to pending DUI charges on Dec. 16, state police at Rockview said.

A 19-year-old Bellefonte man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.

Charges are pending blood results, police said.
