STATE COLLEGE — State Police at Rockview investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 99 in College Township, Centre County. The crash took place at 11:11 p.m. on Jan. 5.
According to police, a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt being driven by Robert Wilkerson, 23, of Williamsport, was traveling southbound along I-99 when his vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment, causing disabling damage to its front end. Wilkerson fled the scene prior to police arrival. He said he was not hurt in the crash.

cruelty to animals
HOWARD — State Police at Rockview are investigating a case of cruelty to animals that took place at 5:06 p.m. on Jan. 13 along Lisk Street in Walker Township, Centre County. According to police, a cat was shot with a BB/pellet gun. There are no investigative leads at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Borger at (814) 355-7545.
BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview were trying to serve a warrant at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 13 along White Pine Lane in Boggs Township, Centre County, when they detected a strong odor of marijuana inside the residence. A search of the residence yielded marijuana and related paraphernalia.
State Police investigate Megan’s Law violation
BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview investigated a possible Megan’s Law violation that allegedly took place along West Linn Street in Bellefonte Borough, Centre County.
The alleged incident took place sometime between Dec. 17 and Jan. 10. Following a thorough investigation, the allegations were determined to be unfounded.
SPRING MILLS — State Police at Rockview are investigating a case of drug possession that took place at 2:24 p.m. on Dec. 19 along Penns Valley Road in Penn Township, Centre County.
According to police, a 15-year-old male from Woodward was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Charges are pending in the case.
Police investigate possible harassment
BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview are investigating a possible case of harassment that took place at noon on Dec. 12.
According to police, the incident took place at the Centre County Jail, 700 Rishel Hill Road in Benner Township, Centre County.
The investigation continues.
CURTAIN TOWNSHIP — At 7:44 p.m. on Jan. 5, State Police at Rockview investigated a possible dog violation in Curtain Township, Centre County. The incident took place on Gene Lane. The investigation continues.
Man charged with DUI
BENNER TOWNSHIP — State Police at Rockview conducted a traffic stop at 8:26 on Dec. 19 along Interstate 99 in Benner Township, Centre County. The 47-year-old man from Moshannon was pulled over for weaving across lane designators. After observing several clues of impairment, the operator was taken into custody for suspected DUI.
