$30,000 found in vehicle
LAMAR — About $30,000 of cash was found in a grocery bag under the passenger seat of a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country on Feb. 10 at 3:50 p.m. along Interstate 80, Lamar Township, state police at Lamar said.
The driver and passenger, names not listed, were observed speeding and it was believed the occupants were involved in criminal activity, police said.
A search was conducted with the consent of the driver when the cash was found under the front passenger seat, police said.
A K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics on the currency, police said.
Names of the occupants will not be released unless charges are officially filed, police said.
LOCKPORT — An outstanding warrant arrest lead to drug related charges in Woodward Township on Feb. 13, Woodward Township Police said.
Carie Nicole Darwin was arrested on Jan. 31 for an outstanding warrant for allegedly selling methamphetamine, police said.
After begin taken into custody it was discovered Darwin was in possession of two bags of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe, police said.
Darwin was issued a summons to appear in court. All charges are filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office, police said.
