Two-vehicle crash

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 3.

According to police, Michael Combs, 68, of Third Lake, Ill., was traveling along Jacksonville Road in Marion Township, Centre County, when he attempted to make an illegal u-turn at the intersection of Forrest Road. Combs’ 2007 Lincoln Continental was struck by Christopher Homan, 37, of Bellefonte.

Damage to both vehicles was severe. They had to be towed from the scene. A passenger in Combs’ vehicle was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.

Purse stolen

MILESBURG — State Police at Rockview investigated a burglary that took place at 12:39 p.m. on Jan. 19 in Milesburg Borough, Centre County.

According to police, a 66-year-old Milesburg woman had her purse stolen from inside her home along Mill Street.

In addition to the purse, the following items were stolen: Cash, change, a Penn State Federal Credit Union credit card, a Kohl’s gift card and a T.J. Maxx gift card.

The items stolen are valued at $68.95.

The investigation is ongoing.

Motor vehicle stolen

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview investigated the theft of a motor vehicle that took place at 4:43 p.m. on Jan. 21 in Benner Township, Centre County.

According to police, Anthony Marrara, 55, of Bellefonte, had a 2002 brown/green Yamoto ATV stolen from a residence at 2820 Benner Pike in Benner Township, Centre County.

Theft investigated

BOGGS TOWNSHIP — State Police at Rockview investigated a case of theft sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 along North Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, Centre County.

According to the police, an unknown person removed a window on a car door, unlocked the door and then removed a CB radio. The person then fled the scene by unknown means. The victim was a 30-year-old Snow Shoe man, police said.

Man arrested following fight

BELLEFONTE — A Port Matilda man was arrested following a fight on Jan. 30.

According tostate police at Rockview, Jason Adams, 42, of Port Matilda got into a verbal argument with a 37-year-old Bellefonte woman. Adams allegedly punched the woman in the face, causing her to have a one-inch laceration below her right eyebrow.

Charges were filed through magisterial district justice 49-3-04. Adams was arraigned and bail was set at $2,500.

Man arrested for drug possession

BENNER TOWNSHIP — State Police at Rockview made a drug arrest during a routine traffic stop along Interstate 99 in Benner Township, Centre County.

According to police, Michael Blake, 22, of Clearfield was pulled over for speeding. While making contact with the driver, an odor of marijuana was observed. A search of the vehicle resulted in several items being seized.

The incident took place at 10:44 a.m. on Feb. 1.

Identity theft

HOWARD — State Police at Rockview recently investigated a case of identity theft.

According to police, someone opened a PayPal account under the name of a 46-year-old Howard man. The incident took place at 11:24 a.m. on Jan. 30 along Neffs Road in Boggs Township, Centre County. The man reported it to PayPal directly and had the account closed.

Drug possession

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview charged a Bellefonte woman with drug possession following a traffic stop along old state Route 220 in Boggs Township, Centre County.

According to police, a traffic stop was conducted at 4:19 a.m. on Feb. 2. The driver of a 2007 Ford Mustang , a 36-year-old Bellefonte woman, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Charges are pending through magisterial district justice 49-3-02.
