Police pursuit ends in crash
RENOVO — State police at Lamar were involved in a high-speed pursuit in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to police, a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta being driven by Calvin Mask of Scranton was traveling west along state Route 120 in Chapman Township, Clinton County. A police vehicle, a 2017 Ford Explorer, was in pursuit when it crashed. Both state troopers in the police vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Police say that Mask, who was fleeing the state police, then lost control of his Jetta while rounding a turn. It collided with a guiderail before striking a cement bridge barrier. The Jetta came to rest in the middle of the roadway, blocking both lanes of traffic.
Mask fled the scene on foot before being apprehended later on Feb. 1. The police vehicle and the Jetta were towed from the scene by Martin Motors. Mask sustained minor injuries in the crash. He was charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement, recklessly endangering another person, driving without a license and driving while suspended.
The investigation into the events surrounding the crash is ongoing, according to police.
BEECH CREEK — A burglary is being investigated by state police at Lamar.
According to police, sometime between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Feb. 4, someone entered a private garage along Windy Lane in Beech Creek Township, Clinton County.
Once inside the garage, the actor removed a purse, currency, coins, a women’s bag, a Nike knit hat and a Nike ballcap. Police say that $2,200 in cash was taken as well as $10 in coins. The bag, hat and ballcap were valued at more than $100.
The victim of the crime is Justina Smith, 47, of Beech Creek.

LOCK HAVEN — State Police at Lamar made an arrest for a PFA violation at 9:03 p.m. on Feb. 3.
According to police, Gregory Green, 32, of Lock Haven, was at a private residence along McElhattan Avenue in Castanea Township, Clinton County. The victim is a 24-year-old Mill Hall female. Green was taken into custody and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
BELLEFONTE — A case of harassment is being investigated by state police at Rockview. According to police, a 10-year-old boy was harassed along East Curtin Street in Bellefonte, Centre County. The incident took place shortly after midnight on Dec. 31, 2019.
