Police investigate rape

BENNER TOWNSHIP — State Police at Rockview investigated a physical and sexual assault that took place along Twin Cedars Lane in Benner Township, Centre County.

The report took place at 10:55 a.m. on March 15. The victim is a 17-year-old female. The alleged act took place approximately four years ago.

Credit card fraud

MILLHEIM — State Police at Rockview investigated a case of theft by deception that took place along Hillcrest Avenue in Millheim Borough, Centre County.

According to police, someone opened a credit card account by using the name of a 63-year-old Millheim female.

Two-vehicle crash

MILESBURG — A two-vehicle crash took place along Mill Street in Milesburg Borough, Centre County.

According to State Police at Rockview, a 2011 Kia Optima being driven by a 17-year-old male from Philipsburg failed to stop at a stop sign and struck 2008 Ford Edge being driven by Boyd McCartney, 86, of Milesburg. There were no injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene in the crash, which took place 4:27 p.m. on March 13.

One-vehicle crash

SPRING MILLS — A one-vehicle crash was investigated by State Police at Rockview. The crash took place at 12:22 p.m. on March 13.

A 2014 Ford Escape being driven by Stacie Tischler of Spring Mills left the right side of the roadway near 174 Reeder Road in Gregg Township, Centre County. Her vehicle struck an embankment and then traveled through a fence. Tischler was not hurt in the crash, but the vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Tischler was cited for her role in the crash.
