Indecent assault

MILLHEIM — State Police at Rockview are investigating an incident of inappropriate behavior that occurred between Dec. 10, 2010 and Dec. 10, 2013 while the child was between the ages of five and eight in Millheim borough.

Drug, paraphernalia

possession

MILESBURG — A 24-year-old Bellefonte man was found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of Turnpike and Smith streets, Milesburg on March 14, State Police at Rockview said.

Vehicle strikes tree

HOWARD — The driver of a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 was not injured following a one vehicle crash along Walnut Street, Marion Township on March 15 at 3:20 a.m., State Police at Rockview said.

Michael P. McDonald, 38, of Howard, was traveling south on the roadway when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve, causing his vehicle to travel of the roadway and struck a tree, police said.

Police were assisted on scene by Howard Fire Department and Tressler’s Towing.

Drug possession

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview are investigating an incident of drug possession after an inmate at SCI Benner was found in with suboxone on Feb. 16.

A suspect for the delivery of the suboxone has been developed, police said.

Theft from vehicle

MILL HALL — Tasha Bryan, 47, of Beech Creek, was arrested for stealing a $180 jacket from a 2012 Nissan Altima in the parking lot of Rey Azteca on March 3 at 2:16 p.m, state police at Lamar said.

Bryan was walking through the parking lot and pulling on door handles when she gained entry to the vehicle, owned by a 26-year-old Beech Creek man, and took a Milwaukee M12 heated jacketed and an $80 lithium ion battery for the jacket, police said.

Motorcycle crash

NORTH BEND — The driver of a 2009 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide was transported to Bucktail Medical Center by Renovo EMS following a motorcycle crash along Renovo Road in Chapman Township on Feb. 23 at 3:45 p.m., State Police at Lamar said.

Gary R. Lavanture, 56, of North Bend, was traveling east on the road when he failed to negotiate a right hand turn causing his motorcycle to strike a tree, hit an embankment and come to rest on Maple Avenue, police said.

Lavanture told police he had consumed alcohol prior to driving his motorcycle, police said.

Police were assisted on scene by Renovo Fire Department and Hillside Towing, police said.

Hindering apprehension

SNOW SHOE –Dianna Walker, 64, of Moshannon, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and obstructing administration of law after hiding Ricky Walker, 37, of Snow Shoe, from police on March 14 in Snow Shoe Township, State Police at Rockview said.

Police arrived at Walker’s home along Gorton Road and served and arrest warrant for Ricky Walker who was found inside the residence after Dianna first refused to allow entry, police said.

Ricky Walker was taken into custody and was found in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, police said.

Charges for both Walkers were filed through district court, police said.

School bus hits sign

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place at 3:45 p.m. on March 6 along North Jay Street in Lock Haven. According to police, Raymond James Harmer, 66, of Avis was traveling along North Jay Street when he struck a no parking sign.

The passenger’s side mirror on the bus sustained damage. The sign was also bent in the accident. No injuries were reported.

Forced entry

BELLEFONTE — Jacob Johnson, 32, of Bellefonte, was the victim of a possible burglary that occurred between March 2 and 15 along Buffalo Run Road, Benner Township, state police at Rockview said.

Between the timeframe a window at the residence was forced open but nothing was stolen inside and no evidence of entry was seen, police said.
