Simple assault, harassment
SNOW SHOE — Michael Bloom, Jr., 26, of Wallaceton, Pa., was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident along Elm Road on May 11 at 5:25 p.m., state police at Rockview said.
Bloom is accused of striking a 21-year-old Clearfield woman in the face causing a swollen and bloody, police said.
One vehicle accident
JERSEY SHORE — An 18-year-old Jersey Shore woman was transported to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital following a one vehicle accident along Rote 973, Watson Township on May 10, state police at Montoursville said.
Atlanta M. Doan was traveling west on the roadway when her 1998 Jeep Cherokee went off the road and slid into a tree, police said.
Doan was able to exit the vehicle on her own and was transported to the hospital by Jersey Shore EMS to evaluate her injuries, police said.
No charges were filed and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Aikey’s Towing Company.
Vehicle strikes pole
SALLADASBURG — The driver of a 2008 Pontiac G6 was cited for not diving on roadways laned for traffic following a one vehicle crash along Route 287, Mifflin Township on May 11, state police at Montoursville said.
Zachary R. MacGill, 27, of Salladasburg, was traveling south on the roadway when his vehicle traveled of the roadway and struck a utility pole, police said.
MacGill was transported to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital by Jersey Shore EMS for unknown injuries, police said.
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are investigating possible identity theft involving a 59-year-old Bellefonte woman. $500 was allegedly taken from the victim’s bank account, police said.
Theft of over $700
BELLEFONTE — A 28-year-old Bellefonte man is the victim of over $700 worth of theft, state police at Rockview said.
Two money transfers of $518 and $248 were taken from the victim’s account on May 10 in Boggs Township, police said.
SPRING MILLS — $2,999 was stolen from an 88-year-old Spring Mills woman’s checking account on May 1 in Potter Township, state police at Rockview said.
Two vehicle accident
BELLEFONTE — No one was injured in a two vehicle crash along North Eagle Valley Road, Boggs Township on May 7, state police at Rockview said.
At 5 a.m., Paulette A. Mejia, 46, of Temple, Ga., was attempting to make a left turn onto the roadway when her 2011 Freightliner truck struck a 2016 BMW X3, driven by Wenpin Tsai, 51, of State College, police said.
Mejia was issued a citation for not driving a vehicle at safe speeds and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
