FedEx driver struck by vehicle
LOCK HAVEN — The driver of a FedEx truck suffered injury of unknown severity after being struck by a vehicle along West Fourth Street in Lock Haven on May 13, Lock Haven City police said.
Bree Wert, no address listed, was traveling west on the road at approximately 8:35 a.m. when she attempted to go around a FedEx truck parked to the ride side of the street, police said.
Wert told police she had looked around the truck and did not see the FedEx driver, police said.
The driver, Kolton Conz of Linden, told police he was crossing the street to deliver a package when he was hit by Wert’s 2013 Honda Pilot, police said.
Conz told police he was feeling pain and was transported to UPMC Lock Haven, police said.
Minor injuries in crash
JERSEY SHORE — Two Jersey Shore men sustained minor injuries following a crash along Route 287, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County on May 19, State Police at Montoursville said.
Nathan L. Stewart, 34, and Paul K. Stewart, 69, were traveling north on the roadway when their 2004 Toyota Highlander traveled off the road and struck a utility pole, police said.
The vehicle then traveled over an embankment and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop, police said.
Both men were wearing their seatbelts and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
BELLEFONTE — The Centre County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple calls from individuals who are being scammed. The victims of these calls say that the caller/scammer is using multiple phone numbers (the latest being 814-208-8502) and claiming to be Deputy Cramer. The caller/scammer claims that there is a warrant out for the individual, and if they don’t pay $5,000 they will be arrested.
If you are receiving these calls, please do not give them any personal information, bank account numbers, money orders or purchase any kind of money cards. The Centre County Sheriff’s Office will not contact you in this way and will not ask you for personal or bank account information! If you are unsure, just contact the office at (814) 355-6803 or your local law enforcement agency.
MILESBURG — A 65-year-old man and 21-year-old man, both of Milesburg, were arrested and charged with domestic violence related charges following an incident along Hazel Street in the borough on May 20, State Police at Rockview said.
Police received a called of an active domestic at 2:30 p.m., and when they arrived on scene both suspects were calm and sitting on their front porch, police said.
BELLEFONTE — Ciara Semack, 35, of Bellefonte, was arrested and charged with harassment following an incident along Richmond Road, Boggs Township on May 19, State Police at Rockview said.
Semack allegedly drove to the home of a 36-year-old Bellefonte woman and 42-year-old Julian man and assaulted them, police said.
Theft from vehicle
HOWARD — Deborah Simoncek, 52, of Howard reported a theft from her vehicle between May 16 and 17 at 142 Maple St., Howard, State Police at Rockview said.
Simoncek said $5 in change and a peach-colored blanket were taken from the vehicle, police said.
