Police news – June 23
LOCK HAVEN — A two-vehicle crash was investigated by Lock Haven City Police.
According to police, the crash took place at 9:33 a.m. on June 20. Police say that a 2019 Ford Escape being driven by Carol Orner of Lock Haven was traveling east along Bellefonte Avenue. Her vehicle was struck by a 2006 Jeep Commander being driven by Thomas Reitz of Flemington. Reitz was turning left onto Bellefonte Avenue from Barton Street when he struck Orner.
Based on the position of the vehicles, police could not determine who had the right of way.
No injuries were reported. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Bike ramp stolen
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police report the theft of a bike ramp that took place between June 12 and June 18 in the 100 block of Commerce Street in Lock Haven.
The ramp was owned by a 37-year-old man. The ramp is described as being painted blue with gold stars.
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police found a bicycle around 9:20 a.m. on June 19 at the A-Plus located along Bellefonte Avenue.
The bicycle is described as a Nishiki Manitoba. The owner of the bicycle can claim it at city hall.
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that took place at 1:19 p.m. on June 20 at the intersection of Bellefonte Avenue and Barton Street.
According to police, a small truck being driven by David Gosa of Lock Haven was traveling along Bellefonte Avenue when he ran a red light and struck a 2000 Honda Accord being driven by Kathryn Tolbert of Lock Haven. No injuries were reported in the crash. The Accord sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. The truck had minor damage.
