Police News – June 4
LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP — State Police at Montoursville responded to a domestic incident that took place along Middle Road in Limestone Township, Lycoming County.
According to police, the incident took place at 12:48 p.m. on May 25. Police say that a 29-year-old Montoursville man and a 31-year-old Montoursville female became engaged in a verbal argument over movable property. The argument escalated to physical contact as the two pushed, shoved and struck a 39-year-old Jersey Shore man multiple times.
LINDEN — State Police at Montoursville were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that took place at 4:56 on June 2 along state Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County.
According to police, a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe being driven by George Sackandy, 71, of Altoona was traveling southbound along state Route 220 when he was attempting to turn right at the crossover in front of Henry’s BBQ. A 2016 Toyota Tacoma being driven by Richard Holter, 62, of Lock Haven was in the left-hand lane and saw the Santa Fe turning. Holter attempted to avoid the crash by braking and turning left. The Tacoma struck the Santa Fe in its front end. The Tacoma spun and wound up facing west. Holter sustained bruising to his arm and back and was taken to UPMC Williamsport by the Woodward Township Volunteer Fire Company.
Sackandy was not hurt but was cited for his role in the crash.
