Man identified

WILLIAMSPORT — The driver who was pulled from his Ford Ranger after landing in Lycoming Creek in the 3900 block of Lycoming Creek Road on Thursday night was Ronald Winkleman, 58, of Mill Hall, Old Lycoming Township, police said Monday.

He was admitted to UPMC Williamsport in stable condition, but there was no word on his medical condition. It was unknown what caused Winkleman to lose control of his truck.

Truck strikes light pole

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle accident that took place at 3:49 p.m. on July 27 along Bellefonte Avenue in Lock Haven.

According to police, Chad Mills, 41, of Woodbridge, Va., was leaving Family Dollar when his tractor trailer clipped a light post, knocking a glass globe off the post. The globe shattered and Family Dollar employees picked up the pieces of glass. Mills, who drives for Landair Logistics in Front Royal, Va.

Mills said that he will pay for the damages. There is no estimate on cost of the glass globe.

Criminal mischief

BELLEFONTE — A case of criminal mischief was investigated by state police at Rockview around noon on July 15.

According to police, a 38-year-old Bellefonte man noticed a small bullet hole in his outdoor patio furniture. Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at Rockview.

Damage was estimated at $20.

Drug possession

BELLEFONTE — A case of drug possession was investigated by state police at Rockview at 1:08 p.m. on July 10.

Police say that the 54-year-old Bellefonte woman was pulled over while driving her black BMW at the intersection of Axemann and Rishel Hill roads. A search of the vehicle yielded drugs and drug paraphernalia. The driver was charged.

DUI

SNOW SHOE — State police at Rockview investigated a case of DUI that took place around 4 a.m. on July 11.

According to police, a 25-year-old Spring Mills woman was pulled over at the intersection of S. Fourth and West Sycamore streets in Snow Shoe Borough, Centre County, for driving under the influence. The investigation continues.

Vehicle rear ended

LOCKPORT — No injuries were reported in a two vehicle accident that took place on July 28 at the intersection of Coudersport Pike and Farrandsville Road, Woodward Township Police said.

Ellison Porter was traveling south on the roadway when she become distracted and looked away from the road, causing her 2006 Toyota Avalon to strike a 2008 Kia Rondo, driven by Amber Simcox, police said.
