Vehicle chase leads to arrest
LOCK HAVEN – A 21-year-old man was arrested for fleeing and eluding after he lead multiple police officers on a chase beginning at Lusk Run Road on June 30, state police at Lamar said.
Police were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a 2019 vehicle, driven by Kyle Everhart, at 9:10 p.m. along Lusk Run Road near its intersection with Shade Hollow Road, Bald Eagle Township, police said.
Everhart did not stop once the officer turned on his lights and sirens and attempted to flee the scene, police said.
Multiple Lock Haven, Lock Haven University and Pine Creek Township police units were involved in the chase that ended on East Water Street in the city, police said.
Everhart was taken into custody with charges filed through district court, police said.
Two vehicle accident
MILL HALL — The driver of a 2018 Kia Sportage suffered minor injuries following a two vehicle crash along Jacksonville Road, Porter Township on July 1, state police at Lamar said.
Braucht W. Hunter, 34, of Mill Hall, was attempting to turn onto the roadway when his 2017 Toyota Rav4 struck the Kia, driven by Justin G. Packer, 39, of Woolrich, police said.
Packer’s vehicle struck a concrete ditch before coming to rest back on the road, police said.
Hunter was issued citations related to stop signs and yields signs for proceeding without proper clearances and Packer was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt, police said.
Valley Towing removed the Kia from the scene, police said.
