DUI suspected

SALONA — The driver of a vehicle involved in a one-vehicle accident is suspected of driving while intoxicated, according to state police at Lamar.

Police said Angelica C. Santiago, 22, of State College, was southbound on South Hecklmans Gap Road in Lamar Township, at 3 a.m. Sept. 2, when she lost control of her vehicle and it collided with an embankment, causing disabling damage.

Upon further investigation, police said Santiago was suspected of driving under the influence. She was transported to UPMC Lock Haven Hospital for a legal blood draw and charges are pending, police said.

Truck catches fire

LAMAR — A driver escaped injury in a fiery accident on Interstate 80 in Porter Township at 1:23 a.m. Sept. 14, according to state police at Lamar.

David Paddilla, 42, of Milton, was eastbound exiting off I-80 at the 173 exit planning to turn right on Route 64, when he was unable to accelerate and came to final rest partially on Route 64 south, police said.

The driver exited the vehicle and observed flames coming from the drive shaft area of the 2021 Freightliner, police said. The driver was able to extinguish the flames, police said.

No injuries

RENOVO — The driver and two passengers escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on Kettle Creek Road in Leidy Township at 8:43 p.m. Sept. 16, according to state police at Lamar.

A 16-year-old male was driving the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze “too fast around a left curve” when he lost control and the car struck an embankment, police said.

Police said the driver and two female passengers aged 15 and 16, were unhurt. Damage to the car was minor, police said.

Motorcyclist injured

FARRANDSVILLE — A 17-year-old motorcyclist suffered a leg injury when he lost control of his 2008 Honda CRF 230 on the Farrandsville Road and the vehicle slid into an embankment, according to state police at Lamar.

The accident occurred at 11:27 a.m. on Sept. 17, police said.

The operator, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Williamsport UPMC for treatment of road rash to his leg and an ankle injury, police said. He was cited for traveling too fast for conditions, police said.

Harassment charged

LAMAR — Joshua Watkins, 33, of Mill Hall was charged with harassment following an altercation at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 17 at 16 Oak St., Lamar.

State police at Lamar said Watkins and Annette Gingerich, 51, of Lamar had a verbal argument and Watkins shoved Gingerich inside the residence.

Charges were filed at the office of District Judge John Maggs.

Harassment

CENTRE HALL — Tina Stone, 46, of Centre Hall, has been charged with harassment after she allegedly scratched and struck Derek Davis, 27, of Centre Hall, in the face.

The incident occurred at 6:54 p.m. on Sept. 3 at a residence in Potter Township, Centre County, according to state police at Rockview.

Harassment by communication

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are investigating a report of harassment by communication made at 4:51 p.m. on Sept. 6.

A 51-year-old Bellefonte woman told police she has been continually harassed by anonymous electronic communication.
