Stolen packages

LOCK HAVEN — Harold James Young Jr., 37, of Lock Haven, was sent a summons to appear before a district judge for allegedly stealing two packages valued at $98 from the 100 Block of East Main Street on Aug. 23, Lock Haven City Police said.

Two vehicle accident

PENNS VALLEY — The driver of a 2006 Yamaha Royal Star suffered injuries after striking a 2012 Ram 2500 along Penns Valley Road on Sept. 6, state police at Rockview said.

Robert C. Gordon, 52, of State College, was traveling west on the roadway when he struck the truck, driven by Cory L. Lingle, 44, of Lock Haven, who was negotiating a right turn onto Green Grove Road, police said.

Gordon, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Mount Nittany EMS, police said.

Lingle was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured, police said.

Gordon was cited for operating a vehicle without official certificate of inspection, police said.

Cited for harassment

BASTRESS — Kyle Buttorf, 30, of Williamsport, was cited for harassment after he allegedly assaulted Keith Buttorf, 63, of South Williamsport, on Sept. 7 in Limestone Township, state police at Montoursville said.

Criminal mischief

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 2 and 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 3.

A BB gun or pellet gun was used to shoot at a window of a home at 108 Bellefonte Avenue, police said.

Three vehicle accident

LOCK HAVEN — The driver of a 2019 Ford Escape was cited for following too closely after a three vehicle accident along Bellefonte Avenue near its intersection with Second Avenue on Sept. 3, Lock Haven City Police said.

Mary A. McGinness, of Lock Haven, was traveling along the roadway when her vehicle struck a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Caitlyn Lansberry of Petersburg, Pa., police said.

The force of the impact caused Lansberry’s vehicle to rear end a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Thomas Yankanich, of Orefield, Pa., which was stopped at a red light, police said.

When asked by officers on the scene what happened McGinness was unsure of what caused the accident, police said.

Due to significant damage to her vehicle, McGinness was transported to her residence and her vehicle towed from the scene, police said.

Minor damage was reported on Lansberry and Yankanich’s vehicles which were driven from the scene, police said.

DUI alleged

WILLIAMSPORT — Ronald Winkleman, 58, of Mill Hall, was charged with driving under the influence by Old Lycoming Township police after his car crashed into Lycoming Creek in the 3900 block of Lycoming Creek Road on July 23.

His vehicle went off the road and hit several rocks before landing in the water, police said.

Winkleman’s blood alcohol content level was 0.09 at the time of the crash, police said.

Winkleman has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Solomon.


LINDEN — Donald Hill, 45, of Linden, was charged with harassment following an incident at Harvest Moon Park, Woodward Township, Lycoming County on Sept. 6, state police at Montoursville said.
