Tractor trailer crash

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview responded to a tractor trailer crash that took place around 5:40 a.m. on Nov. 17 along Interstate 80 in Marion Township, Centre County.

According to police, a 38-year-old man was traveling along Interstate 80 Eastbound in a 2011 Freightliner when the tractor trailer left the roadway, struck a guide rail and became stuck in a drainage ditch. The driver was not injured in the crash, which took place around milemarker 162. The tractor trailer, however, had to be towed from the scene.

Hit and run crash

LINDEN — A two-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Montoursville that took place around 4:56 on Nov. 17 along state Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County.

According to police, a vehicle being driven by Kimberly Giampapa, 33, of Jersey Shore, was traveling southbound along state Route 220 near the intersection with Browns Lane when her 2011 Chevrolet Aveo was struck by an unknown vehicle, which then continued on without stopping. There were no injuries in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
