Two-vehicle crash

PATTON TOWNSHIP — State police at Rockview investigated a two-vehicle crash that took place along state Route 8013 leading to Interstate 99 in Patton Township, Centre County on Nov. 24.

According to police, a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban being driven by Katie Rhodes, 35, of Mill Hall was traveling northbound along state Route 8013 toward Interstate 99 prior to the crash. Rhodes failed to stop behind a 2016 Jeep Patriot being driven by Tyler Updike, 33, of Tyrone and rear-ended the Jeep. Updike was injured in the crash.

The Suburban sustained disabling damage. The Jeep sustained minor damage.

Rhodes was issued a traffic citation for her role in the crash.

Man charged with DUI

SNOW SHOE — A Belle Vernon man was arrested for driving under the influence on Nov. 21.

According to state police at Rockview, a 24-year-old man was pulled over for a traffic stop at 3:27 a.m., at the intersection of West Sycamore Road and Preslovich Road in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County.

The man, who was driving a 2008 Mercury Mariner, showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for DUI.

Tools stolen

CENTRE HALL — A case of burglary is being investigated by state police at Rockview.

According to police, sometime between midnight and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, someone burglarized a private residence at 188 High St. in Potter Township, Centre County.

The victims were Mark Anskis, 51, of Centre Hall and Joshua Getz, 24, of Spring Mills.

The items stolen include: A Craftsman set of metric and standard, a Craftsman impact wrench set metric and standard, a DeWalt air wrench, a Craftsman tool case (150-piece set), a Snap-on leak down test kit and a Stihl. The items were valued at $2,600.

The investigation continues.
