Drugs found in prison

BELLEFONTE — An inmate at the Centre County Correctional Facility was found in possession of methamphatemine in his property on Dec. 26, 2020, state police at Rockview said.

It was found after an investigation that the inmate brought the drugs into the facility, police said.

Under the influence

HOWARD — A 30-year-old Mill Hall man was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance during a traffic stop along Jacksonville Road at its intersection with the Interstate 80 East on-ramp, state police at Rockview said.

Police were called to the stop on Jan. 10 by the PA Fish and Boat Commission when it was determined the suspect, name not listed, was under the influence, police said.

The suspect was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a legal blood draw, police said.

Charges are pending blood results.

LH woman cited

LOCK HAVEN — Denise Danielle Laubscher, 54, of East Church Street, was issued a citation for failure to confine her dog with the premises of her property at all times, Lock Haven City Police said.

DUI alleged

SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview investigated a case of driving under the influence that took place at 12:59 a.m. on Jan. 3.

According to police, a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by a 35-year-old Aaronsburg man crashed into a steel mailbox owned by a 50-year-old Coburn man. The crash took place at the intersection of Long Oak Lane and Big Oak Lane in Penn Township, Centre County.

The investigation is pending the results of a blood draw.

Door damaged

SNOW SHOE — A door at a Dollar General was damaged on 12:11 p.m. on Jan. 6.

According to state police at Rockview, a 25-year-old Karthaus man damaged the door at the Dollar General along East Sycamore Road in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County. The door was severely damaged and could not be closed. When the man was confronted about damaging the door, he fled the scene. He was arrested for criminal mischief.

Theft by deception

JERSEY SHORE — A Jersey Shore woman was the victim of theft by deception on Dec. 1, according to state police at Montoursville.

Police say that the woman, 52, had $600 taken from her bank account.

The investigation is ongoing.

Drug possession

MILESBURG — State police at Rockview investigated an incident of drug possession that took place along Eagle Street in Milesburg Borough, Centre County.

The incident took place around 12:26 a.m. on Jan. 13.

Charges are pending against the 39-year-old Milesburg man.
